Summer Activities

Summer in Jackson Hole offers unbeatable weather with mild temperatures and endless a variety of activites for everyone. Hiking and camping are some of the most popular summer adventures, while whitewater rafting, fishing, golfing and horseback riding provide some of the nearly limitless summer entertainment possibilities.

Fishing

If you are an angler, you have definitely heard of the legendary waters in Jackson Hole and its surrounding region. Easily accessible rivers and lakes are intermingled with remote and rarely fished locations for the adventurous angler. Golf Courses

• Teton Pines Golf Course & Club : This world reknowed 18 hole course was designed by the Arnold Palmer.  With direct views of the Tetons, Teton Pines has gained the reputation as being one the most scenic courses in America. Located just outside of Jackson Hole, Wyoming
• 3 Creeks Ranch Golf Course & Club : Located in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, the 3 Creek Ranch Golf Course and Club offers over seven thousand yards of exceptional golfing. 3 Creeks Ranch and Golf course has varied facilities and activities for both private and public golfers.
• Snake River Golf Course & Sporting Club : Located just outside of the town of Jackson, Wyoming, The Snake River Golf Course and Sporting Club offers an eighteen hole regulated course for all skill sets with a championship area for more experienced golfers.
• Teton Springs Golf Course & Club : Located in Victor, Idaho, (a 35 minute drive from Jackson WY) The Teton Springs Golf Course and Club is an eighteen hole course that offers a full range of facilities and amenities for both golfers and their families.
• Targhee Village Golf Course : Situated in the beautiful town of Driggs, ID, Targhee Village Golf Course offers a secluded course situated not far from the local national forest in Teton Valley. These two courses suit both amateur and professional golfers, as well as rentals and special clubs for women and men.
  

Hiking

Over 4,000 miles of hiking trails lead to the bottom of canyons, climb mountaintops, follow river and lake shores, and pause at thundering waterfalls contained within the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem's 14 million acres of public land. The terrain varies from toddler-gentle to technical climbing-extreme, with every grade and condition in between.

Biking

With hundreds of mountain biking trail for the beginner to the advanced, there is sure to be something for everyone.  Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Snow King Resort switch gears from winter to summer and you can rent all the gear you need to get going.  If you are advanced you can visit many of the sports shops in town.

Kayaking & Canoeing

With the amount of annual moisture fall, Jackson Hole is known for it's vast amount of water sport activities. Kayaking is a sport on the rise as people or all ages and abilities take up this thrilling activity in the rivers. However, don't forget that one of the best ways to take in the majesty of the surroundings is by sea kayak. The more tranquil of the two kayaking options, sea kayaking is a great day or overnight activity.

Skiing & Snowboarding

With three major resorts and limitless backcountry Jackson Hole is a major destination for skiers and snowboarders seeking the best. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort boasts the most vertical feet in the US and is the flag ship of local resorts. Also near by are Grand Targhee and Snow King Resort.

Snowmobiling

Togwotee pass is a stones throw from Jackson and features miles of groomed trails for the snowmobiling enthusiast. Yellowstone is also open to guided snowmobile trips during the winter. See the majesty of Old Faithful or relax in Granite Hot Springs.
